The Level 7 Extended Diploma in Strategic Management is designed for students with prior educational or professional experience in business, who want to gain the knowledge and skills to progress further in their chosen field. On this course, you will be encouraged to expand your understanding of the business world with a series of advanced modules taught by specialist lecturers with proven experience in their fields.
Those who successfully complete the course will be prepared to undertake work in senior positions. This qualification may also be topped up to a full MBA through further study at a number of internationally-recognised Universities.
Students will take eight, 15 credit units over an academic year, for a total of 120 credits. Each unit consists of 60 total guided learning hours; 40 hours of lectures spread over three weeks, combined with 20 hours of tuition sessions and assessment feedback.

Mature learners may present a more varied profile of achievement that is likely to include extensive relevant work experience (paid and/or unpaid) with levels of responsibility, participation and/or achievement of a range of relevant professional qualifications. This may be used for recognition of prior learning (RPL).
Learners must also have an appropriate standard of English to enable them to access relevant resources and complete the unit assignments.

The charge for the Level 7 Course is £3,400 all inclusive, including teaching and registration – there are no extra fees for this course.

This unit aims to help learners develop their own personal leadership and management skills in the context of the creation and achievement of organisational vision and strategic direction.

Learners will develop knowledge, understanding and skills to analyse internal and publicly available financial information in order to inform strategic decision making.
R/615/2684 – 15 Credits
The unit will enable learners to explore the changing international business environment and develop knowledge and understanding of how organisations respond.

The aim of this unit is to develop the knowledge, understanding and skills required to carry out research to meet the needs of strategic business management.
L/615/2697 – 15 Credits
This unit will develop knowledge and understanding of the importance of corporate communications and their link with corporate objectives. Learners will have the opportunity to develop skills in auditing corporate communications and planning a corporate communication strategy.
A/615/2680 – 15 Credits
The aim of this unit is to help learners develop an understanding of how organisational behaviour, structure, culture, motivation, creativity and leadership impact on an organisation’s effectiveness and efficiency.
F/615/2700 – 15 Credits
The aim of this unit is to help learners acquire knowledge and understanding of human resource management strategy and its impact on the efficiency of an organisation.
